South African man comes back to life after 21 hours in the morgue
A South African man came back to life after spending 21 hours in the morgue refrigerated compartment after being declared dead with no pulse and no breathing.
(See the Huffington Post article “Man Wakes After 21 Hours in Morgue Fridge in South Africa.”)
The man suffered an asthma attack and “died.” The family thought he was dead. The coroner thought he was dead. He was placed in the refrigerated compartment of the morgue for 21 hours… almost a day.
Then… the workers heard someone screaming.
But a day after staff put the body into a locked refrigerated compartment, morgue workers heard someone shouting for help. They thought it was a ghost, the morgue owner said.
“I couldn’t believe it!” Maqolo [the morgue owner] said. “I was also scared. But they are my employees and I had to show them I wasn’t scared, so I called the police.”
After police arrived, the group entered the morgue together.
“I was glad they had their firearms, in case something wanted to fight with us,” Maqolo said.
The part about the police with their firearms “in case something wanted to fight with us” tells us what was on the morgue owner’s mind…

I think this is amazing! I mean, I know if I was in a Morgue more than 21 hours I would be dead as a DOOR NAIL! But, At least the guy has another chance at life. (:
I wonder if that man see anything during his 21 hours of dead….he should be very grateful to have a second time in life.
